A new community facility for the village is not a new project, back in the 70s the then Parish Council had intentions of utilising the main school building when the County Council purchased land off Barley Close for the site of a replacement school. This never materialised and in the mid 90s the land was sold and Woodlea Grove and The Oaks were built there.
2005, when the Parish Council successfully had a Tree Preservation Order removed from an oak tree that had become rotten and dangerous. After consultations with the Community Association and other interested parties it was decided that this site had many advantages and The Little Eaton Village Hall Project Committee was formed.
